Preschool Programs:

Great Expectations Preschool accepts children from 2 through 5 years of age. We offer a choice of 2, 3, 4 and 5 day programs for Beginners and Preschoolers.  Our day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m.

There are fifteen children in each of the Preschool groups and nine children in the Beginner group.  The grouping of these classes is done by age.  Each class is led by two well qualified teachers trained in Early Childhood Education.

Additional Hours:

Early Bird:  We offer an early bird program which allows children to be dropped off as early as 8:00 a.m.

Extended Day:  An extended day option is available for all students and runs from 12:30-3:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Calendar:

The school opens in mid-September and closes in late June.  Vacations and snow days coincide with the Arlington Public School dates, with the addition of several days during the winter holiday break.  The school also offers a summer camp program.

Home visits:

Teachers visit children at their homes prior to the Beginning of the school year.  Home visits are an integral part of our program and are designed to enhance the child/teacher and home/school relationships.  They provide a wonderful opportunity for children and parents to meet the teachers in their own environment and exchange information about what to expect during the first weeks of school.
